300 is about a war which took place a long time ago... obviously i forgot wat period it was xD but from the movie i do know it was a war between the persians and sparta(a part of greece?) the war started because the king of sparta refused to bow down to the king of persian lol ya his a strong king not a fool caz he fights for wat he believe in... thats wat i like abt him =)

the show started with a man(one of the warriors in the group of 300) talking abt a story of the king(Leonidas) as a child... Leonidas from young was trained to be a warrior... their motto was "told never to retreat" there was a scene where he had to endure the cold weather up in the mountains and fend for himself from any attacks the wilds would throw at him... he was wearing nothing except a piece of ragged cloth and a blunt wooden spear/stick(i forgot) and treaking on the mountains, he was expected to stay alive for a few days... this kinda training strengthens ur willpower, endurance, muscles =D and teaches u wat to do in times of suffering

The end part of that scene was how u protected himself and hunted a large black wolf... that wolf was quite scary tho... it had a slightly bigger size than a full grown human, large long and sharp teeth and evil looking cum glowing yellow eyes... the eyes stared straight at the child as if taking its time to enjoy his "meal"... they slowly walked in a circle facing each other at some distance and at a time the child stepped back and start to retreat into a small narrow path... the wolf followed him at abt the same slow speed... after a few steps, the child took off right into the narrow path where in hope the wolf wont be able to get thru due to its size... he succeeded in trapping the wolf with its head stuck between the wall of rocks, the child then hesistate for awhile, and struck hard and deep into the mouth of the roaring wolf with his spear/stick(i said i forgot -.-)

it was a nice scene and a good beginning for the show =) on to the next part, where Leonidas has become the king of sparta... one day, an envoy of persia came to persuade the spartans to surrender, Leonidas refused to surrender to persia caz if they were to, they would become persian's slaves... and sparta at that that time implements the free world =) the queen was enraged by the envoy and instigated the king to kill him... the king tot for awhile, then with his gaurds, they cornered the envoy and his gaurds to a very deep hole( and i mean DEEP lolx); pulling out his sword, he said these last words before he kicked the envoy in the arse into the hole; "DiS-Is-SPARTA!" piuuuuuuuuu down he went lolx

for this action the is only one solution to it, war... the spartan ministers were angered and did not agree to dispatch the spartan army to fight this meaningless war as they tot it was a personal grudge between Leonidas and the persians...Leonidas was not angered and he went to seek help from the gods... this part contains that kinda thing... u know... lol so ima skip most of these la... eventually even the gods didnt bless Leonidas... but Leonidas didnt give up... he drafted a company out of the army of sparta; this company of warriors, they are the finest of soldiers in the whole of sparta, and together they will fight against the millions of persian army

the ministers wanted to stop Leonidas from taking these 300 warriors to die a worthless death... but these warriors are willing to fight alongside with Leonidas and the king also claimed that these 300 warriors are just his bodygaurds lol... gaurds to be with him while he take a "stroll" lolx

i dunno why the movie insist that its 300 but i think its 300 PLUS 1(the king himself) since the king was part of the company too, but oh well... the company then marched to a designated field Leonidas had pointed out which is indeed a good place to defend and counter attack...on the way they met some other company who wish to fight alongside with king Leonidas, the king scanned through the company and belittled them... he asked a few of the company's soldiers what their occupation was... the results were wat he expected; potters,tailors, chefs and some other which does not do war... the king then asked wat the spartans live as... as loud as the thunder, the replies were "Soldiers!" ima skip right to the battle ya?(there are some parts i left out; like the crossing of a neighbourhood village which fall in the hands of the persian "Immortals" and where they assasinated another emissary =P)

for the first few battles, the persians threw thousands of persian slaves, normal and armored infantry... the spartans threw back everything at them; that is... the dead bodies of the persians... none of the spartans fell... wat a perfect company of warriors =D the tatic they used was forming 2 rows of ranks, front shield back spears, they ward off the attacks with their shield and the spears will thrust out from their 2nd rank and kill off the enemy wave by wave(i love this tatic =))

the persians then shot thousands of arrows at the small company of 300... the spartans crouched and held their shields above them, none of the arrows hit them(man i like their shields @.@) the persian king then request an audience with Leonidas to persuade them to surrender as the resistance was futile... but the king again refused... this time he refused in a funnier way, the persian king asked him to bow down to him and all the luxuries will be his to enjoy, but instead, Leonidas said that his thighs were having a cramp from all the fighting that he cannot kneel down LOL the persians decided to send their most powerful infantry, the "immortals" somehow Leonidas knew the attack would begin at nightfall

he put the corpses of the persian fighters to good use, the company stacked up the corpses in the middle of the path to a high "human made" wall... the immortals marched up to the wall, halt and sent one of the immortal infantry to examine the "wall" out of the blue, the long awaiting company of spartans pushed the corpses from behind with their shields and crushed the fighter...the skirmish began and a couple of warriors fall in the battle, but the immortals suffered heavy casualties, there was a giant immortal which looked like a zombie, they set off it to deal with king Leonidas, it was a tough fight and Leonidas nearly fell in battle, but was saved by one of his war mates and the giant's head was severed instead...

next up would be cavalary, they lined up into a formation like an arrow head and as the persian cavalry charged pass, they used their spears and thrust into the horses' bodies to make the riders fall... then, 2 of the warriors charged up to deal with the other infantry... when they tot it was over, the 2 warriors looked back at the company and cheered... unfortunately, happyness doesnt last long enough for the spartans to rejoice... there were still incoming cavalry and one of the riders rode pass one of the 2 and chopped his head right off... ya... the gross part dun need me to mention right lol

the warrior hu died was a son of another warrior in the company... sad case... ok on to the next part... the persians practically threw every usable "war machines" at the 300 warriors of sparta from mammoths to giant rhinos then to magicians... few fell in these battles but the persians were wiped out lol

it was near the end of the battle(persian's army of millions still exist but the 300 spartans were exhausted) when the queen "sold" herself one of the cunning minister in exchange for an agreement to dispatch reinforcements to the 300 spartan warriors the next day on the council... but the minister broke the agreement and instead accuse the queen of adultery... the queen was frustrated, she pulled out a sword from the gaurds and stabbed the minister to death... as she stabbed him, his money bag was cut off too and a bag full of persian currency was discovered by the ministers and the cunning minister was later ranked as a traitor...

the sparta ministers were abt to agree to send reinforcements but it was too late... on that very day, the remaining of the 300 spartan warriors held their last stand and attempted to assasinate the persian king after being surrounded by the persian army...

the brave spartans held their last stand, killing yet ANOTHER emissary lol and the spear which Leonidas threw at the persian king managed to scar the left side of his cheeks lol better than nth right... fortunately, before the day of confronting by the persians, King Leonidas sent one of the unwilling warrior back to sparta... to tell the story how 300 brave spartan warriors held off millions of persians...

the spartans were said to have decended from hercules himself and they were taught never to retreat... thats what made spartans strong... and the 300 warriors of spartans died an honorable death by defending their land up till the last breathe they drew...
